Black Mountain

The BP at Black Mountain just south of Guyra on the New England Highway is a pleasant sight in the middle of the night especially in winter. Bill who works the night shift always has a fire going and he cooks a feed which is the best on the range. During the night the driveway is chock-a-block with trucks on the Sydney-Brisbane run. Here it looks pretty quiet on a winters day. It often snows here as it is about 1500 feet above sea level on the Great Dividing Range.
